going inward for capricorn season
🌱 happy capricorn season, babes! i’ve crafted some journal prompts for your winter evolution.
journaling is a powerful ritual for me. it’s affirming, purging, soothing, cleansing, meditative. it is one of my favorite therapeutic methods. one of the best ways, in my opinion, to cultivate deeper intimacy within ourselves and meet ourselves where we’re at. there is always so much to learn! remember to take breaks on your self-work too.
i know that a lot of end of year things mention “accomplishing.” going into a new year can be all about “setting goals,” resolutions, etc. listen, 2020 was a rollercoaster––exhausting for most of us. i’ve written these prompts to honor and nurture yourself in a way that’s less about goal-setting and more about intimacy-building emotional and spiritual awareness with yourself away from the world and not in comparison to other people. just you, my friend.
where can i better hold myself accountable in my relationship with myself and others?
what are three things i’m proud of myself for?
what are my intentions for the next three months?
what area of life can i be more gentle with myself?
what are three of my strengths and how can i utilize them in the new year?
what area of life can i simplify?
i hope these prompts shine a light on your beauty and the good you bring to the world. i hope they hold you accountable––with compassion––and where to deepen your inner work. again, this is not about goal setting (although that’s okay too if you prefer it) but about intention setting. pulling back from the action and meditating in awareness just like winter calls from us.
i know what it’s like to see these kinds of things and feel anxiety that we’re not doing enough which is why i asked questions like “what area of life can i be more gentle with myself?” maybe it’s not an area of life but an experience that deserves more of our love and focus. we’re still hibernating so let’s cultivate some ease with ourselves. gift yourself some restoration even if you feel you’ve rested “enough” this year.
bonus: after these prompts, free write. let yourself flow on whatever else comes through. don’t censor yourself or force it to relate — just spill. purge. let it go.
i hope these prompts serve you well and if you share any excerpts of your writing (no pressure — they’re JOURNAL prompts for a reason!), please use the #soulbitsonfire hashtag on IG and send love to each other.
happy journaling, happy self-loving, and i wish you all a fortuitous new era + season, soulbabes! 💚
